The handle of each Damascus knife is made from a carefully selected piece of sycamore wood. We attach great importance to a fascinating grain and wood pattern that presents itself on the selected tree trunk. The combination of annual rings, barred growth and burl growth results in a unique "wood image" that only exists once in nature.
