Description

Damask kitchen knife Nakiri 7 inches – this is how the professional cuts vegetables

Not exclusively, but in particular, the Nakiri Damascus knife is used in the kitchen for cutting vegetables. Such a sharp kitchen knife cuts herbs and vegetables like the proverbial butter. This saves a lot of time when cooking, because healthy vegetables play an important role, especially in Asian cuisine.

Damask knife Nakiri – for healthy cuisine

Whether in a wok or the classic pan, healthy and colorful vegetables, which later end up steamed on the plate, is a feast for the eyes. There is a good reason why obesity occurs much less frequently in Asia than in this country. The Japanese have the highest life expectancy in the world, which is mainly due to the wholesome and varied diet. And the preparation of these delicious and healthy dishes with the help of the nakiri is really fun. "Hara hachi bu", eat moderately, tasty and healthy, is the motto. These include vegetables and herbs such as cucumber, turnip, pumpkin, gobo, eggplant, mizuna, mitsuba, cut garlic as well as broccoli, peppers, celery and soybeans. All finely cut with our beautiful Nakiri.

The Nakiri – also visually a kitchen highlight

The special cut and the unique forging technique are responsible for the sharpness of the Nakiri. The latter gives the nakiri the characteristic "crocodile pattern". Towards the cutting edge, it runs out in waves, which gives the "up and down" when cutting vegetables a special charm. The 18 cm long and 5 cm high blade was folded 22 times around a middle layer of Japanese steel of the highest quality (AUS 10). This core material has a cutting angle of 12 to 15 ° at the sheath. Even unruly vegetable strands have no chance. But not only the blade is something special with this Nakiri.

The knife handle – epoxy resin with honeycomb design

Honey is not only one of the oldest and tastier foods of mankind, but also the industrious producers know how to inspire. It is fascinating to see the geometric precision with which the bees manufacture their honeycombs. We also wanted to depict this miracle of nature on the Nakiri and provided the epoxy resin knife handle with a honeycomb pattern. Thus, the ordered geometric structures of the handle form a wonderful contrast to the curved crocodile pattern of the blade. Ergonomically shaped, the 14 cm long knife handle lies optimally in the hand and facilitates the cutting and chopping of vegetables and herbs.
