Damask bread knife with serrated edge - cut without effort

What applies to international cuisine is especially true for German cuisine. Pastries made of dough play a special role here. Imagine Germany without bread, or if the French had to do without the baguette. These foods also deserve the necessary respect during processing. Our high-quality bread knife made of damask cuts through a hearty crispy crust like butter. Of course, this also applies to other baked goods. In addition to the sharp cutting edge with a grinding angle of 12 to 15°, the fact that this succeeds so well is mainly due to the characteristic serrated edge. What does that look like in detail?

Sharp bread knife thanks to serrated edge

Whether professional or passionate hobby chef, everyone knows the situation. For foods such as bread or pizza that have a crust, a special knife is needed. But also so-called "watery vegetables" such as a tomato require a special aid. The big advantage of a damask knife with serrated edge is that no great pressure has to be exerted on the cut material. Due to the serrated edge, our sharp bread knife "digs" itself into foods such as bread, pizza, tomatoes or cucumbers. The eye also benefits, because this does not crush the food and creates beautiful straight slices. But that's not all, because Damascus steel and forging also offer numerous advantages.

Our bread knife – Damascus steel of the highest quality

The beauty of the knife blade is reflected in the special blacksmithing that distinguishes all our damask knives. The core of the blade is made of Japanese steel of the highest quality – AUS10. The quality steel owes its hardness to the high carbon content. The addition of substances such as manganese, silicon and vanadium results in further properties such as toughness and elasticity. Due to the strong degree of hardness, our damask knives can be sharpened very sharply and the blade retains its sharpness for a very long time.

The knife core is joined by 22 layers of stainless steel 416. Folding and forging creates the characteristic crocodile skin pattern, making the damask knife an eye-catcher in the kitchen. But that's not all. We think that such a beautiful blade deserves a worthy knife handle. The Deep Blue epoxy resin knife handle with its geometric honeycomb structure forms an interesting contrast to the expiring "waves" of the blade. A high-quality bread knife made of damask, which convinces with function AND design - and is also ideal as a gift.
