Grindstone Set – Knife Grindstone

2-in-1 premium grindstone set - Wet stone knife sharpener

400/1000 and 3000/8000 grain size

With this knife grindstone set you can sharpen your old and also new kitchen knives. The set is ideal for bringing old and damaged knives back to premium fine-tuning. You can also use it to keep your new knives at the highest level of sharpness. The knife sharpener is the ideal addition if you always want to keep your knives nice and sharp.

Application:

1. Place the stones in water at least 15 minutes before grinding. Insert the stones with the rubber holder into the bamboo base station.

2. To grind and guide the blade, use the angle aid and attach it to your knife.

3. For heavily worn knives, first use the 400 grain side to prepare the knife with the coarse grinding at an angle between 10-30 degrees. Press the knife lightly and carefully over the stone and pull it back and forth with a little momentum. This process can take about 15 minutes depending on the damage to your knife.

4. Use the 1000 grain side for fine grinding. Repeat the steps as before. This process takes about 10 minutes, depending on the previous damage.

5. Use the 3000 grain side for fine grinding and gently pull the knife over the grindstone. This process takes about 15 minutes.

6. With the 8000 grain size side, you go to mirror polishing. Finalize the knife with minimal pressure for about 10 minutes.

After sharpening, clean the knife with a wet towel or under running water and then dry well.

Use a soft brush to clean the grindstone and then place it in a well-ventilated place to dry.

Tip:

If you want to grind your knives with a whetstone for the first time, we recommend that you practice this on an old kitchen knife before you dare to use your high-quality damask knife.
